I want to develop a web database using mysql and i wonder if php would ne the right software to use.And i dont what siftware needed to build this conceptt.I need help………

I hope that makes sense… Basically, I want to scan through one particular directory, which contains several subdirectories which all contain several text files, and list each one of these text files. How can I do this? Just looking for a quick and simple answer seeing as I’m still new to PHP!
