I have managed to make Thunderbird my default email in Internet Explorer , yet I can’t seem to do this for Firefox. Thanks for your help.

Open INTERNET EXPLORER. Go to Tools, options. Click on the Programs tab and set under E-mail select the program you want to use. I tested this myself and it changes the Firefox clicking as well. Hope this helps.
